Pasta Making Class with Mia Ponzi Hamacher

Join us at Hamacher Wines on Friday, June 9th from 5:30 – 8:00pm for this Intro to Handmade Shapes pasta class taught by Chef Mia Ponzi Hamacher from Sosta House. You will learn a baseline dough recipe and explore handmade shapes through the regional traditions of Italy, from Sicily to the Alto Adige.

Using simple tools, we will dive into traditional preparation, the logic of each shape and pairings for wine and seasonal sauces. Brush up on your knife skills and learn the basics of sauce preparation and pasta cookery, all while enjoying freshly made focaccia, olives and Hamacher wine.

Walk away with two portions of handmade pasta, sauce, and cooking instructions to make a pasta feast for two. Tickets $75 each / $65 with Club Membership; includes one glass of wine each

About Chef Mia Ponzi Hamacher

Chef Mia recently moved back to Oregon from New York City where she worked as a chef and pasta teacher at Forsythia, a restaurant recognized by the Michelin guide and New York Magazine for its handmade pasta program. She also worked as the lead Pasta maker at New York Times starred King and Corner Bar, both in Manhattan. She brings over a decade of fine dining restaurant experience in addition to a lifetime love of pasta making at home.
